Did I write about my plan to cook our own turkey? Well, as crazy as we are, yesterday night at Starbucks, I came up with the idea and everyone agreed. So we rushed to my friend's dorm to search for turkey recipe. By the time we were done it was like midnight already, but lucky the supermarkets are open 24/7. So we went there to buy whatever we need.. including a 16 lbs turkey, garlic, some herbs (sage, thyme), and many more. Went to my friend's house and started to prepare to marinate the humongous turkey. Done at almost 2 am.. went home and sleep. Continue to cook it this afternoon.. and it turned out better than expected! But we can't finish it.. 16 lbs for 12 ppl.. maybe just too much.
Anyways, finally we are leaving for Chicago tomorrow morning. Gotta wake up at 7am!! Hopefully I'll enjoy the trip. Again, happy thanksgiving ppl (a little too fast).
