Okie. Time to update my blog again. Everything is going pretty well I should say. Not exactly the way I want it. But generally, it's all good. Well, today was the 2nd day of my 'real' work as the whole of last week was dedicated to the training session.

I was introduced to the 2 FAs that I'll be working with during my internship.. Matt and Rob. I am glad that they are both nice and like easygoing people. That makes things alot better. But actually they are a little too laidback. Anyways, a little about the things I've been doing at work so far. There's nothing much really. I think filing takes up most of my 2 days' time so far. I'm not done with the filing for Matt yet. As he said, take my time doing the tasks.. so I heed his advice.

I don't feel good to keep going to their office to ask if there is anything I can help them do. I feel like I'm gonna annoy them if I ask them too often. And I feel like I'm actually more of a burden than a help to them because everytime I ask them if they have something for me to do, they will think hard and don't really have anything. So yah. But I feel bad and awkward for sitting around doing nothing. Hopefully I'll get a computer of my own and a log-on soon. So then at least I can surf around the net and have more things to do to kill time.

But I guess, I'm still learning something out of my internship so far. I learn that if one day, I were to become a financial advisor, I would be an organized one. Put my clients' statements and forms in their folders promptly and not wait for months to do it.

I also heard something interesting from the seminar tonight. Scientists find that on average, a human being has 66,000 thoughts in a day. And think of the thoughts as money. You have $66,000 to spend on anything and definitely you will buy things that you like right? So the speaker said it should go the same with thoughts too. We have 66,000 thoughts a day and we might as well spend them on positive, happy thoughts.

Quotes
"You just gotta do it," she said. "You just gotta get out there and seek those things out for yourself. Life is definitely a roller-coaster, it's an adventure and it's just all about how you participate in it, if you choose to participate in it, and about going out there and having a good time and good things come to you."

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that! "
