So tomorrow will be the 3rd day of 'working' already, even though we're not really working yet. The past 2 days have been kinda boring, especially today. The first hour was spent listening to this manager discussing with his 8 interns regarding the projects they were assigned and stuff. And the rest of us were just there listening. Then the next 2 hours were spent to listen to another 'lecture.' Actually the topic is quite simple I would say, all we have to do is plug in numbers into already constructed forms online to create reports/recommendations.

So nice ah.. to make like 20 pages report only takes 10 minutes. If we are in school doing projects, it would take hours and hours. But I prefer like the group projects that we do in school, at least we get to think and do more stuff. I miss doing F303 group project.. :( But maybe this is just the beginning to get us started or st.

In the afternoon, there is another session and it's similar to the morning session except that this time we're in a 'computer lab.' But the 'computer lab' only has 8 computers for those 8 interns who are stationed at that branch. So the rest of us were just crowding around the computers and watch. The person went through how to fill in the forms in the software one by one.. for retirement plan, educational funding plan, net worth plan, and all that. And it took like 3+ hours. I was trying hard not to fall asleep.

Tomorrow don't know what to do after lunch. Before lunch, we will have another 'lecture,' which hopefully will be more interesting and insightful than today's. Then probably the rest of us would go to our branch to ask the manager what we can do. Why so irresponsible ah. After hiring us, just put us to another branch for training and not have us do anything. >.<

But overall so far, I think working is not that bad.. comparable to school I guess. It actually motivates me to more dilligently do the job hunt later after graduate.. which is good. But I don't know yet, this is just the beginning.

Quotes
"You just gotta do it," she said. "You just gotta get out there and seek those things out for yourself. Life is definitely a roller-coaster, it's an adventure and it's just all about how you participate in it, if you choose to participate in it, and about going out there and having a good time and good things come to you."

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that! "
